Day 1
Iquitos / Nauta/ RNPS surveillance post
At 8 am we will leave for the city of Nauta, 100 kilometers from Iquitos, by private car. We will take a walk to get to know the small city of Nauta, which is older than Iquitos.
Then we will board our typical boat called "Pamacari" to navigate upriver by the Marañón River. During the trip, we will observe different riparian hamlets until we reach the Yanayacu/Pucate river, where we can see the grey and pink river dolphins. Later, we will go through the control at the surveillance post of the "Santo Domingo" farmhouse.
We will continue to the "Buenos Aires" community, where we will stay at the "Bromelias Tour Pacaya Samiria" tourist refuge, spending the night in cabins with mosquito net and shared bathroom. We will take a night tour to get to know the wildlife of the area.
Day 2
After breakfast, we will leave up the river to make a stop in a jungle area and explore the area observing the flora & fauna; where we will see different types of birds and monkeys.
In the afternoon we will fish for piranhas and other local species. At night Canoe excursion Possibility to observe alligators and some other night species, fishing with arrow.
Finally, we will spend the night in the camp with tents or mosquito nets.
Day 3
Bird watching in their habitat, also monkeys and other wild canoe species. After lunch we will return to the city of Nauta
On the way we will make a stop at the “Santo Domingo” checkpoint.
Finally, we will arrive at Nauta where we will board our private mobility and return to the city of Iquitos.
