3D/2N Native and Jungle
Day 1
Transportation from the airport or hotel. Walk through the Plaza de Armas, Matriz Church, Casa de Fierro, the boardwalk, and historic mansions from the rubber boom era. Transfer to our Private Dock to board the Fast Boat with an outboard motor.
We will navigate the Itaya River for 15 minutes and observe the panoramic view of the Nanay River bridge, considered the longest in Peru, which connects the city with the countryside.
We will continue the journey to then enter the longest and most voluminous river in the world, the Amazon, a natural wonder. Information about the Amazon, search for gray dolphins and pink river dolphins. We will navigate the Amazon upstream until we reach Cumaceba Curaka Inn. Upon arrival, welcome with a seasonal fruit refreshment. General information. Assignment of private bungalows. Lunch featuring the typical Juane dish.
In the afternoon, a jungle walk to learn about the flora, fauna, and biodiversity in the area.
Night walk through the jungle listening to the variety of sounds produced by insects, amphibians, birds, among others. Dinner. Jungle stories narrated by the guide. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 2
Birdwatching in their habitat, either walking or by canoe. Breakfast. Excursion to visit a riverside resident where we will see non-venomous boa constrictors, sloths, turtles, among others. We will also learn the traditional method of extracting sugarcane juice, tasting the juice and its derivatives such as sugarcane rum and molasses.
Return to Cumaceba Curaka Inn. Lunch featuring the typical Patarashca dish. In the afternoon, visit to the riverside village "Gallito" to learn about some of their daily activities. Depending on weather conditions, we will observe a wonderful sunset. Dinner. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 3
Breakfast. Fishing tour on the banks of the Amazon River, catching catfish, piranhas, among others. Observation of the Victoria Regia, the largest aquatic plant in the world. Return to the complex and lunch featuring the typical golden fish dish.
Return to the city of Iquitos and visit to the native Bora Bora community, where we will learn about their customs, dialect, clothing, and typical dances.
It is recommended to bring some items to exchange with the handmade crafts. Arrival in the city of Iquitos. Transfer to the hotel or airport. Continuous assistance.
