Day 1

Welcome and discovery of Chachapoyas.

Reception at Chachapoyas Airport: Upon arrival, our staff will warmly welcome you and transfer you comfortably to your selected hotel.

Check-in: Time to settle in and rest after the trip. Free Afternoon for Exploration: Spend the afternoon discovering the charming city of Chachapoyas at your own pace.

Known for being one of the safest and cleanest cities in Peru, it offers an experience of tranquility. We recommend strolling through the historic Plaza de Armas and admiring the colonial architecture, enjoying stunning panoramic views from the Mirador de Luya Urco, and relaxing in cozy cafes while exploring shops with local crafts.

Day 2

Kuelap Fortress + Telecabines

9:30 am / 5 pm – 6 pm

We will pick you up at your hotel and then head on a tour bus for about an hour to visit the Macro Archaeological Site. Afterwards, we will continue for 8 minutes until we reach the cable car boarding station. From there, we will take a bus for 10 minutes to the departure platform to board the Cable Cars, with a 25-minute journey across the mountains to reach the tourist stop. From this point, we will walk about 20 minutes to the pre-Inca Archaeological Site of Kuelap.

Within the site, you will have the opportunity to admire more than 500 circular constructions, among which the “Templo Mayor” and “El Torreón” stand out, some of which are decorated with rhomboidal friezes and stylized figures. After exploring Kuelap, we will return to the Cable Cars to return to the town of Tingo, where we will enjoy lunch. Finally, we will begin the trip back to the city of Chachapoyas.

Day 3

Gocta Waterfall

9:30 am / 5 pm - 6 pm

We begin our 1-hour trip from Chachapoyas to the Cocachimba community. At 10:30 am, we begin the tour that can be on foot or on horseback, with an average duration of 2 hours until we reach the waterfall.

During the journey, we will observe the local agricultural activity, and walk through the dense vegetation typical of the cloud forest (habitat of the Cock of the Rock and other birds).

We will find giant trees, liana vines, palm trees, orchids, ferns and bromeliads. Upon reaching the base of the waterfall, we will enjoy free time to take photographs, among other activities. Afterwhich, we return to the community of Cocachimba for lunch and, finally, we return to the city of Chachapoyas to spend the night.

Day 4

Karajía + Quiocta Cavern

8:30 am / 5 pm - 6 pm

In the morning will travel for an hour in a tourist van to the community of Lamud. We will make a 30-minute stop at a tourist restaurant to reserve lunches.

Then, we will continue our trip for 30 more minutes to the Quiocta Cave, the first illuminated cave in Peru. Considered a ceremonial center and cemetery of the Chachapoyas culture, inside we will find stone formations such as stalactites and stalagmites.

After lunch, we will go to the town of Cruz Pata; We will walk for 25 minutes to visit the Karajia Sarcophagi, the ultimat funerary expression of the Chachapoyas culture. At the end of the visit, we return to the city of Chachapoyas.

Day 5

Farewell and Transfer to the Airport

After enjoying a wonderful stay, our team will pick you up promptly at your hotel and comfortably transfer you to the Chachapoyas Airport for your return flight.
